At the end of Matthew´s Gospel Jesus gives a promise to his disciples: “I will be with you until the end of days.. .” Pauline Edwards’ book is a testimony to this fact – the Lord was with us in every moment of our lives even though we were not always aware of it; maybe we did not even know Him. He was there with us even in situations that we did not understand, which we are sometimes still carrying as a heavy load and which we would rather completely erase from our memory. (Fr.
